Join us for a refreshing and meaningful evening as we consider how Sabbath can joyfully deepen our walk with God and strengthen us as leaders.  We all need more rest!

Featuring special speaker:  Dr. David Barker,                                  Professor at Heritage Theological Seminary since 1978.  Dr. Barker is “everyone’s favorite professor”, an awesome teacher of the Bible, passionate, engaging and funny.  Dr. Barker will be speaking about Sabbath and his personal journey towards Sabbath-keeping.  He has earned degrees and doctorates from Grace Theological Seminary.

Agenda:   Dr. David Barker’s talk, refreshments and then a panel of 5 guest leaders from Ottawa each giving an interesting and practical 5 minute Ted Talk on how  they try to practice Sabbath including the challenges they face to overcome their own busyness.

 Confirmed Panel Guests:                                                                                                                    Robin and Alan Gilman, Founder of TorahBytes Ministries, from Calvary Chapel.  Come and hear how they navigate Shabbat as a Messianic family with 10 kids!!                                                    Hope Versluis, Executive Director of Jericho Road Ministries and busy pastor’s wife from Parkway Church, Greely.  Hear how she tries to set boundaries to protect her Sabbath.                  Kevin Presseault, Sr. Pastor, Greenbelt Baptist Church.  Hear how Kevin attempts Sabbath as a busy senior pastor with teenagers and Star Wars!                                                                                  Daniel Gilman, Pastor of Church on Wednesday at U of O,  minister from Anglican Church of the Messiah and radical world changer.  Hear why Daniel keeps trying to find his Sabbath!            Tracy and Mark Peterkins, Exec. Director of One Way Ministries, from Chapel Ridge Free Methodist.  Hear how they carve out Sabbath space in seasons of joy and in grief.
