The Goals of Quiet Pools:
- Create a sacred space of time dedicated to Jesus, lifting Him higher than ourselves. We bow our hearts before him believing that “He must increase and I must decrease.”
- Provide women with the opportunity to slow down and rest, and to listen to what the Spirit is saying regarding the rhythm, balance and re-calibration of our spiritual lives.
- Provide women the opportunity to engage in a variety of contemplative activities that can draw us closer to God, enrich our personal faith and relationship with God, nourish our soul and refresh our spirit.
- Encourage and equip women to make their own spaces for God and draw near to Him through godly habit and postures of the heart for a joyful and balanced life.
Scriptural Philosophy of Quiet Pools
Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he (Jesus) said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Mark 6:31
In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, Isaiah 30:15
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28, 29
Important: What Quiet Pools is Not
